Job summary

Access Community Health is seeking dedicated kaiāwhina to provide in-home support for tāngata, helping with daily living activities with a person-centered approach.

No formal qualifications are required, and comprehensive training is provided. Flexible hours, weekend shifts with a $1 extra per hour, and travel/time reimbursements support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• No qualifications or prior experience required.
• Provide safe, respectful, person-centered support in people’s homes.
• Kaiāwhina Skills Framework training during onboarding (two–four weeks).

Responsibilities

• Support tāngata with individual care needs and daily living activities in their homes.
• Be mindful of what matters to them, including culture, values, routines and boundaries.
• Ensure safety, dignity and respect in everyday tasks.
