Job summary

Westland Milk Products in Hamilton, NZ, leads an end-to-end supply chain for Canary Foods and EasiYo within the Yili Oceania group. The Senior Supply Chain Leader will oversee planning, procurement, logistics, warehousing and customer service to deliver safe, on-time product flow from supplier to customer.

You will drive integration of EasiYo into the Canary structure while maintaining service continuity and lifting overall performance across two North Island brands.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in supply chain within food, FMCG, or manufacturing.
• Proven ability to lead IBP/S&OP processes and manage procurement, warehousing and logistics.
• Strong track record of driving continuous improvement and cost-out initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead IBP and S&OP across Canary Foods and EasiYo; align demand, supply and financial forecasts.
• Manage direct procurement and purchasing to ensure supply continuity and cash flow.
• Oversee warehousing, inventory, customer service, order management and logistics performance.
• Direct third-party logistics, contract manufacturing and strategic supplier relationships.
• Drive continuous improvement across service, cost, inventory, working capital and performance.
• Develop multi-tier team capability through coaching, clear expectations, and accountability.

About the role

Reporting to the Operations Manager - North Island, this is a broad and influential leadership role responsible for the efficient, reliable and cost-effective flow of materials and product from supplier through to customer. You will lead a multi-tier supply chain team across demand and supply planning, direct procurement, warehousing, inventory, customer service, order management and logistics.

You will also play a key role in helping bring the EasiYo operations into the Canary structure over the next two years, while maintaining service continuity, improving performance and building a stronger end-to-end supply chain platform for the future.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading the IBP and S&OP process across Canary and EasiYo, aligning demand, supply and financial forecasts
• Managing direct procurement and purchasing to secure continuity of supply, best value and strong cash flow outcomes
• Overseeing warehousing, inventory, customer service, order management and logistics performance
• Managing third-party logistics, contract manufacturing and strategic supplier relationships
• Driving continuous improvement across service, cost, inventory, working capital and operational performance
• Building capability in a multi-tier team through clear expectations, coaching, accountability and strong people leadership
• Partnering with Operations, Production, Quality, Finance, Sales, Engineering and Health & Safety to deliver safe, right-first-time food production and on-time, in-full customer service

About you

• You will be a seasoned supply chain leader who can operate strategically while staying close to the detail. You will be confident leading through others, making sound commercial decisions, managing complexity and bringing structure to a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
• Senior experience in supply chain, planning or logistics leadership within food, FMCG or manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of IBP, S&OP, inventory management, direct procurement and logistics operations
• Proven experience leading multi-tier teams through subordinate managers or team leads
• Commercial capability, strong analytical skills and confidence using ERP systems and data to drive decisions
• Experience working with suppliers, third-party logistics providers or contract manufacturing partners
• A practical continuous improvement mindset and the resilience to lead through integration, change and performance uplift
• A strong commitment to safety, quality, food, safety and customer service
