Job summary

Foodstuffs North Island, operating as Foodies in New Zealand, is seeking an Assistant Category Manager for Emerging & International. You will support small, emerging and international suppliers, providing practical guidance and insights to grow across the co-op.

Work with the Merchandise team to navigate onboarding, product placement and range opportunities, while resolving issues with stores and stakeholders. SAP knowledge is an advantage for this busy, relationship-driven role.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused mindset and commercially minded.
• Strong written and verbal communication; planning and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to learn new systems; SAP knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coach and support a portfolio of suppliers as they prepare for retail and progress through their journey with Foodies.
• Use sales data and customer insights to inform ranging decisions and review supplier performance.
• Guide suppliers through Foodies processes from onboarding to further ranging opportunities.
• Be a key contact for product enquiries, collaborating with stores, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Support supplier events and initiatives to help emerging and international suppliers succeed across the Co-op.
