Foodies in New Zealand's North Island Co-op seeks an Assistant Category Manager for Emerging & International to support small and international suppliers, guiding them from onboarding to broader ranging.

You will analyze sales data, build strong relationships with stores and suppliers, and drive commercial guidance. The role offers flexibility and development opportunities within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused, commercially minded with a willingness to build strong supplier relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, planning and stakeholder management.
• Ability to learn new systems and work independently.
• Curiosity, flexibility and a hands-on approach to high-volume work.

Responsibilities

• Coach and support a portfolio of suppliers as they prepare for retail and progress with Foodies.
• Use sales data and customer insights to inform ranging decisions and review supplier performance.
• Guide suppliers through Foodies processes from onboarding to further ranging opportunities.
• Be a key contact for product enquiries, collaborating with stores, suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Support supplier events and wider initiatives to help emerging and international suppliers succeed across the Co-op.
