Job summary

NZSki is seeking a Shuttle Driver for Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Mt Hutt. Join our guest-focused team delivering safe, friendly transport for skiers and riders this season.

Starting December through April 2027, you’ll drive between pickup points and base areas, load bikes, respect schedules, and adapt to weather. A passion for mountains and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• NZ Driver's Licence Class 1 required; Passenger endorsement needed before starting.
• Physically capable for mountain environment.
• Willing to work across departments when needed.

Responsibilities

• Transport guests from pickup points to base area safely and on time.
• Drive in a manner that maximises fuel efficiency and guest comfort.
• Load mountain bikes for guests to a safe, secure standard.
• Adhere to schedules and timetables.
• Respond to weather and road conditions.
• Provide friendly and engaging service to all guests.
• Handle customer queries and complaints professionally.
• Maintain clear two-way radio communications.
• Be prepared to work across indoor/outdoor operations as needed.

Our success is due to our awesome customer service, first-class facilities, majestic scenery, and wild terrain.

Skiers and boarders will depart Coronet Peak, and that’s when our mountain bikers and hikers arrive. We aim to give them the best experience on our mountain!

This is a guest service role which will require you to greet your passengers at various locations in around our ski fields and transport them in a safe, friendly and informative manner to and from the base building and various pickup stops below Coronet Peak

This role will commence in early December and run until April 2027.

About the role

• The Shuttle Drivers are responsible for transporting our guests from pickup points to the base area, and staff to and from work.
• Their duties include; Driving in a manner to maximise fuel efficiency and guest comfort.
• Safe and courteous driving practices at all times.
• Loading all mountain bikes for the guests to a safe and secure standard.
• Adherence to schedules/timetables.
• Respond to weather and road conditions.
• Deliver friendly and engaging service to all guests of NZSki.
• Proper management of customer complaints and queries.
• Clear, concise & timely two-way radio communications.
• Learning both Indoor and Outdoor Operations,as you may be obliged to work in these departments as and when is necessary

About You

• To perform in this role effectively, you will need to exceed ourguestsexpectations with personable hosting and professional driving standards
• This job can often be physically demanding and requires a reasonable level of fitness
• Willing to assist in other departments and take on additional duties as required
• An understanding that employment is subject to the vagaries of the weather and the hours of work cannot be guaranteed
• The ideal applicant would be an active mountain biker and have an interest in developing new skills as our team members will be working across several tasks.
• This role requires a high level of energy, excellent teamwork skills, the ability to quickly build rapport with all guests and staff, and outstanding health and safety awareness.

Skills and Qualifications

• At least a valid NZ driver's class 1 licence. A Passenger endorsement must be obtained prior to commencement of employment. If you do not currently have a NZ licence, please contact us for further information.
