Job summary

Ski Corporation in Queenstown seeks a reliable Coach Driver for the upcoming summer season with year‑round potential. You will link walkers to great walks and operate iconic routes around Fiordland, maintaining safety and a high standard of guest service.

Valid NZ Class 4 Driver's Licence and a current P endorsement are required. Expect flexible shifts, vehicle care, and strong teamwork in a dynamic mountain environment.

Qualifications

• NZ Class 4 Driver's Licence with Passenger (P) endorsement.
• Able to work flexible shifts within a set roster.
• Comfortable interacting with diverse guests and groups.
• Safety-focused and professional driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate Fiordland routes and overnight trips, incl. Milford Sound and Routeburn drops.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety checks before/after trips.
• Manage guest boarding, manifests, and communicate with team.
• Assist with luggage and event equipment as needed.

We are seeking a reliable, professional Coach Driver for the upcoming summer season (November to April). You will be the vital link for walkers exploring New Zealand’s finest Great Walks. Operating on a dynamicmixed, yet set roster, this role offers fantastic variety, great hours, and the potential for year round stabilityWinter Ski Drivingfor the right person.

Key Responsibilities

• The Routes & Operations:Operate iconic Fiordland runs, includingovernight trips to Milford Sound, Routeburn track drops atThe Divide, and hiker pick-ups at theGlenorchy end.

Vehicle Care:Maintain a pristine vehicle interior and exterior—first impressions are everything, whether arriving at the start of the trip or pick up at the end.

• Safety & Maintenance:Conduct pre-trip safety checks, end-of-day fueling/cleaning, and load luggage or event equipment when needed.

Logistics & Communication:Manage guest boarding, manifest lists efficiently, and maintain clear communication with wider team and coordinators.

About You

• You’re a "people person" who stays calm under pressure, loves the outdoors, and takes immense pride in your driving standards. You understand that summer work requires flexibility and a "can-do" attitude.

Licensing:Valid NZ Class 4 Driver's License and a currentPassenger (P) endorsement,4L will be considered with relevant experience and a view to train up

Professionalism:Comfortable interacting with everyone from backcountry hikers to corporate executives.

Reliability:Punctual, safety-focused, and prepared for flexible shifts within a set roster.

• Fitness:A reasonable level of fitness for loading track gear, luggage, or event equipment.
• The Extra Edge:Passionate about the southern lakes region, with winter ski-driving experience (or the desire to learn) for year-round continuity.
