Tauranga City Council is seeking a Summer Intern to join the City Waters team to develop a practical, risk-based framework for monitoring stormwater pond siltation and maintenance needs. You will combine research, field inspections and data analysis to identify ponds requiring further survey work and prioritise assets approaching a critical loss of capacity.

Undertake visual inspections and quantitative field surveys of stormwater ponds, help develop a Stormwater Pond Siltation and Maintenance

Qualificações

• Postgraduate qualification in an environmental field or equivalent experience.
• Interest or experience in monitoring and data analysis.
• Safety conscious with open water and field hazards awareness.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake visual inspections and quantitative field surveys of stormwater ponds.
• Help develop a Stormwater Pond Siltation and Maintenance Assessment Manual.
• Contribute to evidence-based maintenance priorities for important city infrastructure.
