Job summary

MIC in Nelson invites Urgent Care Fellows, Trainees, Urgent Care Doctors, or GPs with an interest in urgent care to join our roster for the summer. The clinic operates 8am–10pm seven days a week on the Nelson Hospital campus, offering a fixed-term arrangement with a minimum two shifts per week.

You will work with an experienced multidisciplinary team on a varied urgent care caseload, with opportunities to apply acute and primary care skills in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold current MCNZ registration.
• Availability for at least two shifts per week.
• Flexibility to work across daytime, evening and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care services in a busy roster.
• Deliver patient-centred acute and primary care.
• Work within a multidisciplinary urgent care team near Nelson Hospital ED.

The Medical and Injury Centre (MIC) in Nelson is looking for doctors to join our roster over the summer.

MIC is an accredited Urgent Care Clinic, open 8am–10pm, seven days a week. We are located on the Nelson Hospital campus, just steps away from its Emergency Department, putting you right in the heart of Nelson’s acute healthcare environment while working within a friendly and supportive urgent care team.

You’ll need:

• Current Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) registration
• Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand
• Availability for at least two shifts per week
• Flexibility to work across our opening hours, including daytime, evening and weekend shifts
• A collaborative approach and commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care
