Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. invites five motivated engineering interns to join Wellington/Petone and Auckland projects for 12 weeks from November 2026 to February 2027. You will work on real product development, GNSS and embedded systems, with hands-on experiences in testing, validation and documentation.

Selected students gain exposure to timing technology, hardware/software integration, and collaborate with mentors across engineering teams in a global organization.

Qualifications

• Engineering, electronics, computer science or related study.
• Interest in embedded systems, automation, GNSS, RF or hardware/software integration.
• Experience or interest in Python, C#, embedded C.

Responsibilities

• Work on hands-on projects in areas such as application engineering, test automation, system validation, GNSS receiver integration, or electronic module design.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers and mentors on real product development activities.
• Analyze test results and document findings to support product validation.
