Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc., Tekron division, invites five motivated engineering students to join our teams in New Zealand for a 12-week summer internship from November 2026 to February 2027, working on real product development activities.

You will rotate through projects such as application engineering documentation, test automation, system validation, GNSS receiver integration, and module design, gaining hands-on experience in embedded systems, timing technology, RF and hardware/software

Qualifications

• Engineering, electronics, computer science or related study.
• Interest in embedded systems, GNSS, RF, or hardware/software integration.
• Experience or interest in Python, C#, embedded C, PCB or circuit design.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to real engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Test and document real-world product applications.
• Develop or improve automated test frameworks for validation.
• Assist system-level testing and hardware/software integration.
• Evaluate GNSS receiver technologies and performance.
• Support with PCB design and module validation.
