Job summary

FMG (Farmers Mutual Group) in Palmerston North is seeking an experienced people leader to head the Subrogation, Settlement & Administration team on a fixed-term through to September 2027. You will coach and develop advisers, manage workflow and drive continuous improvement to deliver excellent client outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Subrogation & Settlement Advisers to achieve strong performance and client outcomes.
• Manage team workflow, prioritise, monitor and ensure timely delivery of work.
• Use data and performance metrics to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Support change initiatives and contribute to ongoing operational enhancements.
• Act as escalation point for complex client matters and complaints.
• Foster a positive, engaged and high-performing team culture aligned with FMG's values.

We're looking for an experienced people leader to join our Claims team as Team Leader, Subrogation, Settlement & Administration on a fixed term through to September 2027.

This is an opportunity to lead a team of dedicated advisers, drive operational excellence, and play a key role in delivering outstanding claims experiences for our clients. You'll be responsible for supporting, coaching and developing your team while ensuring work is managed efficiently, consistently and to a high standard.

In this role you'll:
