Job summary

The University of Auckland is seeking a compassionate Clinical Case Manager to join the Te Papa Manaaki | Campus Care team. You will assess needs, develop support plans, advocate for students, and coordinate care across campus and external services.

The role emphasizes navigating university processes to connect students with timely support. We seek a candidate with a tertiary health/social care qualification, NZ work eligibility, and at least five years in case management or mental health

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing.
• Registration under Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 (e.g., SWRB, OTBNZ, NCNZ or equivalent).
• At least five years’ experience providing case management or mental health support to young people or students.
• Strong understanding of wellbeing and support services in tertiary or community settings.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Cultural competence and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Current right to work in NZ.

Responsibilities

• Manage referrals, assess risk and provide professional responses to urgent or complex situations.
• Develop and manage support plans for students with wellbeing concerns or complex needs.
• Collaborate with academic, professional, and external support services to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate case documentation and prepare reports.
