Job summary

The University of Auckland is seeking a compassionate Clinical Case Manager to join Te Papa Manaaki | Campus Care at the Auckland City Campus. You will assess needs, develop support plans, advocate for students, and facilitate connections to internal and external services.

In a small, high-performing team, you will remove barriers to success for students facing wellbeing or mental health challenges, coordinating care with campus and external partners.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing.
• Registration under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 (e.g., SWRB, OTBNZ, NCNZ or equivalent).
• At least five years’ experience providing case management or mental health support to young people or students.
• Experience within tertiary education or wellbeing services is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Cultural competence and an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Current right to work in NZ.

Responsibilities

• Manage referrals, assess risk and provide timely responses to urgent or complex situations.
• Develop and manage support plans for students with wellbeing concerns or complex needs.
• Collaborate with academic, professional, and external support services to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate case documentation and prepare reports as required.
