Job summary

The University of Auckland is seeking a compassionate Clinical Case Manager to support students with complex wellbeing and mental health needs. You will assess needs, develop support plans, advocate, and coordinate transfers to internal and external services.

Based in Auckland, the role requires empathy, robust judgement, and a strong commitment to student wellbeing. A tertiary qualification and registration are essential, with a fixed-term contract through May 2028.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing.
• Registration under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 (e.g., SWRB, OTBNZ, NCNZ or equivalent).
• At least five years’ experience providing case management or mental health support to young people or students.

Responsibilities

• Manage referrals, assess risk and provide professional, timely responses to urgent or complex situations.
• Develop and manage support plans for students with wellbeing concerns or complex needs.
• Collaborate with academic, professional, and external support services to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate case documentation and prepare reports as required.
