Job summary

Christ’s College in Christchurch, New Zealand, seeks a warm, knowledgeable Careers Advisor to guide students through subject choices, tertiary study and employment opportunities. You will work mainly with Year 11 students, provide practical guidance, help with university applications, CVs and cover letters, and run careers events while building strong links with tertiary providers, employers and alumni.

Qualifications

• Experience in careers education or student guidance preferred.
• Ability to build relationships with students, families and colleagues.
• Knowledge of New Zealand secondary and tertiary qualifications and entry requirements.
• Experience using digital careers resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical guidance on subject choices, tertiary study, scholarships, pathways and employment.
• Coordinate careers events and develop resources.
• Support university applications, CVs and cover letters.
• Build strong relationships with tertiary providers, employers and alumni.
