Ideal candidates have proven fabrication experience, strong reading of engineering drawings, and attention to detail. Weekly pay and ongoing overtime provide stable work with a path to permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Structural Steel Fabricator.
• Strong ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Confident measuring, marking out, cutting and assembling.
• Experience working with structural steel sections.
• Ability to work accurately with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Reliable with a good work ethic.
• Valid NZ working rights.

Responsibilities

• Fabricating structural steel components and assemblies
• Reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawings
• Measuring, marking out, cutting and fitting steel
• Working with beams, columns, frames and structural sections
• Setting up and assembling components accurately
• Checking measurements and finished work against drawings
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and safety
