Job summary

Advanced Personnel Limited in Christchurch is seeking experienced fabricators and welders for engineering and manufacturing roles across Christchurch. You will work with MIG, TIG, ARC or FCAW welding, read and interpret engineering drawings, and perform cutting, measuring, fitting and assembly with attention to detail and safe working practices.

We value five years of fabrication/welding experience, a relevant trade qualification, and a commitment to high workmanship and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' fabrication/welding experience
• Relevant trade qualification
• Experience with MIG / TIG / ARC / FCAW
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Structural steel, heavy fabrication or manufacturing experience
• High standard of workmanship
• Strong health and safety awareness

Responsibilities

• Fabricating steel components and structures
• MIG, TIG, ARC and/or Flux Core welding
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Cutting, measuring, fitting and assembling components
• Grinding and finishing
• Completing quality checks
• Maintaining safe working practices
