Job summary

Steel Master Co. Limited in Auckland is seeking three experienced Metal Fabricators – Structural Steel to join our team. You will fabricate, assemble and install structural steel components according to drawings and project specifications.

The role requires reading and interpreting structural steel drawings, accurate measuring, cutting and welding. A relevant qualification is preferred but not essential; joinery and site installation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in structural steel fabrication.
• Qualification or certificate in structural steel is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret structural steel drawings and specifications.
• Measure and mark structural steel materials accurately.
• Cut, drill and shape steel components to required dimensions.
• Fit, align and assemble structural steel components.
• Weld structural steel components using appropriate techniques.
• Inspect and finish fabricated steel components and welds.
• Assist with installation and erection of structural steel on construction sites.
