Shark Engineering HB Ltd is seeking a full-time Structural Steel Fabricator in Hawke's Bay/Napier. You will fabricate portals, beams, columns, stairs and balustrades, read shop drawings, and assist with site erection including crane/EWP work and bolting up.
You will work closely with the welding supervisor on weld quality and sign-off, taking ownership of jobs and flagging issues early. Trade qualification in fabrication is essential, with tickets desirable for EWP and cranes.

Structural steel fabricator and erector working on commercial and government projects across Hawke's Bay. You will see a job through from the workshop floor to standing it up on site, taking ownership of your work and flagging problems early.
Key responsibilities
Fabrication of structural steel — portals, beams, columns, stairs, balustrades, handrails
Reading and working off approved shop drawings
Site erection: setting out, crane and EWP work, bolting up, making good
Working alongside the welding supervisor on weld quality and sign-off
Taking ownership of a job and flagging problems early rather than working around them
About you
Trade qualification in fabrication / heavy engineering
Solid structural steel experience — both in the shop and on site
Confident with shop drawings
Current driver's licence
EWP, working at height, overhead crane and forklift tickets (desirable; training provided if not held)
