Job summary

TVNZ is seeking a Strategy & Execution Lead to partner with the Head of Strategy and senior leaders to translate strategic priorities into a clear roadmap, operating model and portfolio of high-value initiatives.

You will synthesize complex information into clear, decision-ready material for the Executive, Board and delivery teams; work across strategy, data and analytics, technology and business transformation; roll up your sleeves and drive outcomes. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Qualifications

• Strong consulting experience, preferably from a Big Four or MBB-tier strategy consulting firm.
• High comfort with ambiguity and credibility to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
• Strong quantitative and data analysis skills; able to work with large datasets and build models.

Responsibilities

The opportunity - Te tūranga

In this new and exciting role as Strategy & Execution Lead, you will be responsible for partnering with the Head of Strategy and Enterprise Planning, executives and senior leaders across the organisation to translate strategic priorities into a clear roadmap, operating model and portfolio of high-value initiatives.

A core part of the role is synthesising complex and often incomplete information into clear, decision-ready material for internal and external audiences - from the Executive and Board through to delivery teams and partners.

In this role, you will sit at the intersection of strategy, data and analytics, technology and business transformation. It is a strategic role, but not a hands-off one: we are looking for someone who will roll up their sleeves, do the work alongside the teams they are driving, and stay accountable for the outcome.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract.

To be successful, in this role we are looking for the following

• Strong consulting experience, preferably from a Big Four or MBB-tier strategy consulting firm.
• High comfort with ambiguity, and the credibility to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
• Strong quantitative and data analysis skills - comfortable working with large and imperfect data sets, building models and business cases, and drawing defensible conclusions from them.
• Proven ability to translate complex analysis into clear persuasive material for both internal and external audiences, up to and including Executive and Board level.
• A track record of designing strategy and then executing on it personally - not handing it over.
• Experience working in or leading delivery teams
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to prioritise investment across a competing portfolio.
• Experience with human centred design methodologies and execution is preferable.
