Job summary

The New Zealand Government's Ministry for Ethnic Communities is seeking a Workstream Lead, Ministerial Services in Wellington. You will provide strategic oversight, technical leadership, and coordinate ministerial servicing to deliver timely, accurate ministerial products including correspondence, OIA responses, PQs, briefings and speeches.

You will partner with the Minister's Office, embed robust processes, manage risk, and lead a small team to ensure high-quality outputs and compliant

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in ministerial servicing within a New Zealand public sector environment.
• Ability to provide strategic advice to senior leaders on ministerial servicing matters.
• Proven success driving improvements to ministerial servicing functions and embedding effective processes across an organisation.
• Experience quality assuring complex, high-profile ministerial products while managing risk and ensuring compliance with legislative, procedural, and organisational requirements.
• Strong judgement and relationship management with the ability to work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight, technical leadership and operational coordination of ministerial servicing.
• Ensure timely, accurate and high-quality ministerial products, including ministerial correspondence, OIA requests, Parliamentary Questions, event briefings, speeches and responses to Minister's Office.
• Advise on ministerial servicing obligations and quality assure outputs to manage risk and compliance.
• Collaborate with the Minister's Office and a broad range of stakeholders to deliver high-quality services.
