Job summary

Webuild S.p.A. is seeking a proactive Vendor Management Specialist to support a nationally significant New Zealand infrastructure project.

You will manage supplier performance, strengthen vendor relationships, and help ensure the supply chain runs compliantly and efficiently, aligned with project objectives. You will work under the Procurement Subcontracts Manager to oversee supplier engagement, ensure contractual obligations are met, and drive continuous improvement across the procurement

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of vendor management, procurement, or contract administration experience.
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects (PPP advantageous).
• Understanding of supplier performance metrics and risk management.
• Familiarity with contract management and governance processes.
• Strong communication, analytical and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier relationships across multiple subcontract and supply packages.
• Monitor vendor performance against KPIs, contracts, and SLAs.
• Identify and mitigate supplier risks, issues, and performance gaps.
• Support onboarding and mobilisation of new suppliers.
• Collaborate with procurement during sourcing, evaluation, and contract award phases.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, commercial, and governance requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.
• Support dispute resolution and commercial issue management with vendors.
• Maintain vendor performance data and reporting.
• Align supplier delivery with project needs.
