Job summary

Whangārei District Council is seeking an Asset Manager - Data (Transportation) to lead the data and systems that underpin transport asset planning across the district. You will ensure accurate, reliable information to support maintenance, renewal, and future development of our transport network.

Qualifications

Degree-level qualification in Engineering, Asset Management, Information Systems, ICT, or related discipline.
Experience managing and optimising asset management systems such as RAMM, AWM, Hansen or similar.
Strong understanding of asset management principles and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the transportation asset database and ensure high-quality data.
Lead data improvement initiatives to strengthen data reliability.
Provide advice on asset management systems, processes, and best practice.
Support development of the Transportation Activity Management Plan.
Develop and monitor performance measures for maintenance and renewals.
Assist with asset valuations, depreciation, audit reporting, and NZTA reporting.
