Job summary

Evolve Recruitment Group in Auckland is establishing a brand-new role within the Technology Strategy & Transformation team to manage strategic technology partners. The role balances commercial oversight with technical partnering, ensuring relationships are well governed, performance is optimised, and commercial outcomes are achieved.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing strategic vendor or partner relationships in technology environments.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience participating in supplier selection, RFP processes or commercial evaluations.
• Background in technology partner management, vendor management or IT management with vendor responsibility.
• Relationship-driven, commercially minded and able to operate with ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with strategic technology partners as the main point of contact with external suppliers.
• Lead governance and performance conversations to keep vendors aligned with business objectives.
• Support commercial planning and supplier decision-making, including vendor evaluations and RFPs.
• Establish and maintain supplier governance frameworks and monitor performance.
• Identify and mitigate risk, driving accountability across partner relationships.
• Collaborate with Technology, Procurement, Finance and other stakeholders to align business needs with supplier capabilities.
