Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience delivering complex programmes from design through implementation.
• Strong analytical and decision-support skills, with the ability to handle incomplete information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including presenting to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage Environment Southland's strategic property portfolio including leases, land-use, flood risk, asset maintenance and investments.
• Identify timing for future investment decisions and consult with staff and leaseholders using the Learning from the Land framework.
• Lead the Learning from the Land programme implementation, including the Titiroa pilot and its expansion to other land.
• Coordinate input across property, land management, environmental science, policy, finance, legal and operations to develop integrated recommendations.
• Engage mana whenua, lessees, landowners and community partners to support decisions.
• Prepare governance materials, maintain momentum across workstreams, and manage risks and dependencies.
