Job summary

Danone Auckland is seeking a Production Scheduler to join our dynamic Supply Chain team and keep production lines running efficiently. You will develop short-term schedules, coordinate materials, and manage production orders in SAP while working with cross-functional teams to meet demand and optimise capacity.

The role demands strong planning, analytical abilities and attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Production Planning or Scheduling (FMCG/food/pharma preferred).
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, ideally SAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong planning, organisation and prioritisation skills.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain short-term production schedules (0–4 week horizon).
• Lead weekly production planning meetings and communicate schedule changes, risks and priorities.
• Create, manage and close production orders within SAP.
• Monitor production capacity and optimise line utilisation.
• Coordinate timely availability of raw and packaging materials with Materials Planning.
• Manage packaging purchase orders and inventory levels to support production.
• Ensure batch allocations and recipe validations before production runs.
• Maintain accurate production-related master data.
• Coordinate product rework requirements and inform stakeholders of impacts.
• Support daily production meetings with updates on plans and risks.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning processes and cross-functional communication.
