Job summary

PHF Science is seeking a Portfolio Analyst within the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) to help mature portfolio management, planning, governance and reporting across the organisation. You will shape reporting products, support governance forums, and translate complex data into actionable insights for decision-makers.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in PMO, EPMO, portfolio management, business planning, business casing, organisational performance, strategy or similar environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex information and provide practical recommendations.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards or management information.
  • Experience using Power BI or other business intelligence tools to develop dashboards and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to engage confidently with both operational and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and relationship-building skills.
  • A pragmatic approach with a focus on delivering practical solutions that add value.
  • Understanding of project, programme or portfolio management principles.
  • Experience working in government, research, science or other complex stakeholder environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and implementation of organisation-wide business planning, performance reporting, prioritisation and portfolio governance processes.
  • Develop reporting products and insights for leadership and governance forums.
  • Facilitate planning discussions and identify opportunities to improve visibility, alignment and decision-making.
  • Build organisational capability in planning and reporting.
  • Engage with a wide range of stakeholders to drive change through influence, not authority.
  • Collaborate with PHF Science leaders to mature portfolio management practices.
