Job summary

RealNZ seeks an experienced marine professional to lead strategic management and long-term planning of its marine assets. You will develop asset strategies considering lifecycle, reliability, compliance and renewal needs, reporting to the GM Asset - Tourism.

You will lead a small marine asset team, developing the ten-year management plan and aligning with Maritime Operations and Asset Management. Te Anau or Invercargill is possible.

Qualifications

• Strong marine engineering background with asset management focus.
• Experience managing marine assets or vessel engineering and maintenance.
• Understanding lifecycle management and maintenance planning.
• Knowledge of Maritime New Zealand regulations and vessel certification requirements.
• Experience with budgets, CAPEX and renewal planning.
• Risk management and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work across technical, operational and commercial teams.
• Forward-looking approach to asset management.

Responsibilities

• Develop long-term asset and lifecycle strategies across the marine fleet.
• Plan fleet and vessel maintenance programs and renewal CAPEX.
• Develop and maintain a ten-year asset management plan for marine assets.
• Lead and develop the marine asset team and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Ensure assets meet regulatory requirements and manage asset information.
• Investigate significant asset issues and support issue resolution.
