Job summary

RealNZ is seeking an experienced Marine Engineer to join our Marine Asset team in Te Anau. You will support day-to-day engineering needs, major upgrades and improvements across a diverse vessel fleet, ensuring safety and compliance while delivering practical, cost-effective solutions.

You will collaborate with maintenance, operations and external contractors to drive vessel performance, reliability and sustainability, with regular travel and a focus on asset management improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) required.
• Experience with engineering consultants and contractors.
• Strong project management and budgeting skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to improve vessel performance, reliability and sustainability.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineering consultants and internal teams to plan and deliver projects.
• Ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards.
