Stats NZ | Tatauranga Aotearoa is seeking a skilled Management Accountant to support transformation and drive financial efficiency. Reporting to the Deputy CFO, you will partner with Finance Business Partners and the Enabling Services Group to provide insights and challenging analysis across business groups.

This fixed-term role based in Wellington focuses on proactive financial advice, budgeting/forecasting, and evaluating cost options with a view to long-term business impact.

Formación

• Proven experience in management accounting for business-facing roles.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to articulate complex messages clearly.
• Experience with costing and long-term financial impact analysis.

Responsabilidades

• Build relationships with portfolio teams to provide proactive financial advice.
• Provide budgeting and forecasting support to finance business partners.
• Analyse cost of delivering products/services and assess long-term impacts.
• Identify risks and opportunities through detailed financial analysis.
• Advise on technical accounting issues including Public Finance Act.
