Job summary

Te Puni Kōkiri seeks a General Manager, System Performance Monitoring to shape strategic direction and lead three specialist teams delivering evidence, insights and monitoring. You will work with Ministers, public sector leaders, iwi and Māori organisations to monitor Treaty commitments and Whānau Ora, guiding data-driven decisions for Māori development.

You will build partnerships, steer modernization of data and analytics, and influence policy and service delivery in a kaupapa Māori

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in government or public sector.
• Strong understanding of te Tiriti o Waitangi and Crown-Māori relationships.
• Proven ability turning data into actionable advice.
• Ability to work with Ministers and senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Establish Te Puni Kōkiri's system performance monitoring function, providing trusted advice on how well government is delivering for Māori.
• Advise Ministers, senior public sector leaders, iwi and Māori organisations on Māori development and Crown-Māori relationships.
• Lead monitoring of Treaty settlement commitments and Whānau Ora, while overseeing modern data, analytics and information-sharing capabilities.
• Build a high-performing team, strong partnerships and a culture focused on impact, innovation and continuous improvement.
