Te Puni Kōkiri is seeking a Paeārahi, Te Aroturukitanga o te Ahunga Pūnaha to lead the system performance monitoring function and three specialist teams. You will provide trusted advice on how well government is delivering for Māori and shape strategic direction within the Strategy Puni leadership team.

The role focuses on leadership, data, and policy impact while engaging Ministers and iwi. You will oversee data, analytics, and information-sharing capabilities, ensuring evidence-informed

Qualifications

• Senior leader with expertise in Māori public policy and system performance monitoring.
• Strong data and evidence-driven approach to improve outcomes for Māori.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and partner with Ministers and public sector leaders.

Responsibilities

• Establish Te Puni Kōkiri's system performance monitoring function.
• Advise Ministers and senior leaders on Māori development and Crown-Māori relationships.
• Lead monitoring of Treaty settlement commitments and Whānau Ora.
• Build a high-performing team and partnerships focused on impact and continuous improvement.
