Job summary

Just Laptops Limited seeks a Chief Financial Officer to lead all financial strategy, budgeting, reporting and compliance for its multi-site IT retail and wholesale group in Auckland. You will oversee accounting systems, provide board-ready financial forecasts and partner with stakeholders on capital investment and inventory management.

The role demands strong commercial acumen, NZ regulatory knowledge and hands-on leadership of the finance team.

Qualifications

Senior-level hands-on professional experience in corporate financial leadership.
Solid understanding of financial strategy, budgeting and reporting.
Strong knowledge of New Zealand regulatory and tax obligations for multi-site retail/wholesale.
Experience with enterprise accounting and inventory management systems and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent communication and strategic problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Lead budgetary, accounting and financial strategies for multi-site operations.
Provide leadership with accurate financial analysis to guide retail and wholesale decisions.
Oversee accounting systems, internal controls and financial reporting.
Prepare statutory and management reports, forecasts and cash-flow summaries.
Advise on funding, inventory and investment strategies to support growth.
Develop long-range profit forecasts and rolling cash-flow projections.
Ensure compliance with NZ financial legislation, GST and tax rules.
Mentor and develop the finance team across locations.
Collaborate with sales, procurement and store teams to improve margins.
