Job summary

LEAD | Executive Search & Impactful Leadership is conducting a search for a Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial strategy across a multi-entity group in New Zealand/Australia.

The CFO will partner with the CEO and Board to optimise capital structures, oversee internal controls, and drive disclosure in a listed environment, while steering debt facilities and treasury management.

Qualifications

• CA or similar with proven executive financial leadership.
• Experience with listed statutory reporting and corporate governance.
• Strong track record in capital-intensive, project-based environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement across Board and investors.

Responsibilities

• Drive group financial strategy, funding structures, and continuous disclosure compliance.

A listed corporate enterprise manages a large-scale capital portfolio alongside diverse consumer-facing operating subsidiaries across New Zealand and Australia.

Over the last 5 years, the business has evolved its offerings and built a strong reputation for the quality of its “products”.

As their head office remains relatively small, ELT members are involved in a diverse range of projects and initiatives

About The Role

As CFO you'll drive total financial strategy, continuous disclosure, and capital allocation across a multi-entity group structure. Partner closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Board to optimise debt facilities, evaluate opportunities and safeguard internal control environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive group financial strategy, funding structures, and continuous disclosure compliance
• Lead engagement with banking partners, capital markets, and key stakeholders
• Deliver robust financial modelling to evaluate major capital allocation decisions
• Oversee financial control across corporate pipelines and operating subsidiaries
• Optimise group treasury, foreign exchange exposure, and tax compliance frameworks
