Job summary

Cloudy Bay Winery seeks a Business Analyst based in Blenheim to support the Finance Director with forecasting, budgeting and performance insights. You will coordinate forecast processes, prepare financial reports and provide timely information to enable informed decisions.

You will work closely with the Finance team and stakeholders across the business, bringing strong Excel and ERP experience to analyse costs, variances and profitability in a complex, global environment.

Qualifications

Three to five years’ experience in a business or operations analysis role, ideally within manufacturing, consumer goods or retail.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
Experience in a global, publicly listed company, or a similarly complex business environment.
Experience in reporting, business analysis and accounting.
Ability to analyse costs against budget and forecast, identify variances and explain key drivers.

Responsibilities

Coordinate forecast processes and support timely submissions.
Liaise with Finance and stakeholders to gather information and meet deadlines.
Consolidate, review, upload and check forecast figures in Topaz and Syrus.
Forecast contributive cash flow with Finance team.
Prepare and review financial reports after each forecast (volume, sales, standard costing, profit).
Update and circulate validated figures at each forecast end.
Ensure timely, accurate month-end close in collaboration with accounting.
Prepare GL postings relating to A&P and overhead expenses for month-end closing.
Act as the main contact for analytical coding of expenses.
