Job summary

Statistics NZ is seeking a Manager - Community Engagement & Insights in Wellington for a fixed-term backfill to 30 June 2028. You will lead engagement with communities, iwi Māori, data customers and networks, and oversee systems that enable safe capture, analysis and application of engagement insights.

The role requires strategic judgment, strong governance and Te Tiriti-informed practice. You will translate strategy into priorities, manage a capable, geographically dispersed team, and

• Demonstrated leadership of dispersed or remote teams.
• Strong operational planning and delivery management.
• Ability to connect regional activity to national priorities.
• Experience leading engagement, partnerships, or insights functions in complex public sector environments.
