Job summary

Lyttelton Port Company is seeking a highly organised Customer & Supply Chain Support Officer to join the team on a 15-month fixed-term basis, covering parental leave. The role spans contract administration, performance reporting, data analysis, pricing and financial administration, project coordination, and general business support.

You will work across teams, prepare reports, use Power BI for insights, coordinate meetings and contribute to day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• Around 5 years’ experience in a similar role, along with a relevant tertiary qualification.
• Strong computer skills, particularly across Excel, Power BI, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to work with senior leaders, customers and a range of stakeholders.
• A proactive and analytical approach, with the ability to identify issues, interpret information and find practical ways to improve how things are done.
• Experience in a marine, port, logistics or container environment would be advantageous, but isn’t essential.

Responsibilities

• Support customer and supply chain leaders and their teams with contract administration and performance reporting.
• Prepare reports and presentations, analyse customer and operational data.
• Use Power BI to provide insights for decision‑making.
• Coordinate meetings and support strategic projects.
• Help ensure day‑to‑day operations of the team run smoothly and efficiently.
