Foodstuffs South Island Limited in Greymouth, NZ is seeking a hands-on Inwards Goods Team Leader to supervise the receipt, inspection and storage of all incoming goods. You will lead a busy team and work cross-functionally to resolve issues and maintain quality.

The role requires forklift experience, strong communication, and a commitment to Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations. Expected start is as soon as possible, with a 40-hour week from Tuesday to Saturday, starting at 5AM.

Formación

• Proven ability to lead and develop an Inwards Goods team.
• Experience in storeroom/logistics, preferably high volume.
• Strong communication skills across all levels.
• Forklift license with relevant experience.
• Commitment to Food Safety & Health & Safety regulations.
• Available to start in the near future.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and lead the Inwards Goods team in receipt, inspection, and storage of all incoming goods.
• Collaborate with other teams to resolve discrepancies or issues with incoming shipments.
• Enforce proper storage and handling procedures to maintain product quality.
• Oversee cleanliness and organization of the Inwards Goods area in line with Health & Safety regulations.
• Train and develop the Inwards Goods team to improve their skills and performance.
• Collaborate with management to support supermarket success.

We are looking for a great leader, team player and someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment to lead our Inwards Goods team.

Your day to day:

• Supervise and lead the Inwards Goods team in the receipt, inspection, and storage of all incoming goods
• Collaborate with other teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to incoming shipments
• Implement and enforce proper storage and handling procedures to maintain the quality of products
• Oversee the maintenance of a clean and organised Inwards Goods area, adhering to Health and Safety regulations
• Train and develop the Inwards Goods team to enhance their skills and performance
• Collaborate with the management team to contribute to the overall success of the supermarket

What we are looking for:

• Do you have storeroom / logistics experience particularly in high volume goods?
• Are you physically fit and able to move a large volume of stock each shift?
• Do you enjoy working in a busy team environment?
• Are you an excellent communicator with people at all levels?
• Do you have a forklift license with relevant experience?
• Are you available to start in the near future?
• Are you willing to comply with all Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations?

This is role is 40 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday, with 5AM starts.
