Job summary

Foodstuffs South Island Limited is seeking an Inwards Goods Assistant for New World Three Parks Wanaka. Join a fast-paced team focused on accurate stock intake, processing and storage in a busy Wanaka store.

You will receive deliveries, scan and log stock, operate forklifts (training provided), and coordinate with managers to resolve discrepancies while upholding food safety and health & safety standards. 36+ hours weekly, $27–$29/hour, NZ employment eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Early starts and ability to lift 20kg+.
• Forklift licence advantageous but not essential.
• NZ citizen, permanent resident, or valid NZ work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Unloading deliveries and receipting goods accurately.
• Scanning and checking off stock using picklists and devices.
• Operating forklifts safely (training provided if needed).
• Communicating with suppliers and managers to resolve stock discrepancies.
• Following food safety and health & safety procedures at all times.
• Rotating stock, date checking, and minimising wastage.

We're looking for a reliable and motivated Inwards Goods Assistant to join our team in New World Three Parks in Wanaka.

About the Role

As part of our Inwards Goods, you'll be responsible for ensuring that stock is received, processed, and stored correctly and efficiently. You'll work closely with department managers to ensure stock availability and maintain high standards in both food safety and health & safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Unloading deliveries and receipting goods accurately
• Scanning and checking off stock using picklists and devices
• Operating forklifts safely (training provided if needed)
• Communicating with suppliers and managers to resolve stock discrepancies
• Always following food safety and health & safety procedures
• Rotating stock, date checking, and minimising wastage

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Is reliable, punctual, and enjoys early morning starts
• Works well independently and as part of a team
• Is physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting (20kg+)
• Has strong attention to detail and a can-do attitude
• Holds a forklift licence (an advantage, but not essential)
• Has previous experience in a similar role (an advantage)
• Is safety-conscious and takes pride in maintaining high standards

Hours of Work

36+ hours / week, working 5 days over 7-day roster.

Pay Rate:

$27 to $29 per hour.
