Job summary

LSG Sky Chefs in Christchurch is hiring a Store Person to support our busy season. You will handle inbound goods, stock control, order picking and receiving, ensuring supplies for production and catering to aircraft services.

The role is fixed-term and on-site with shifts including weekends; forklift license is preferable and SAP, Excel, and Word skills are used to maintain records.

Qualifications

• Experience with inbound goods, inventory control and receiving.
• Able to follow delivery schedules.
• Reliable, proactive and able to work unsupervised.
• Forklift experience is preferred; license is a plus.
• Proficient in SAP, Excel and Word to maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound goods and maintain stock records to ensure production readiness.
• Assist production with supply of food and equipment for daily operations.
• Pick and pack items and ensure timely deliveries to production areas.
• Operate day-to-day warehouse activities and shifts during the busy season.

LSG Sky Chefs is a catering company operating throughout New Zealand. We operate a service to retail outlets nationally and airlines departing from Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown Airport.

Our Christchurch team is responsible for preparing meals, as well as other catering supplies, which is then delivered and loaded onto the aircrafts.

• The role ofStore personis responsible for receiving inwards goods/deliveries, ensuring a steady supply of food and equipment items to the production area, picking and packing goods and maintaining documentation. This is a fixed term role to cover for the busy season in Christchurch.

This is a hands‑on role where you will be involved in the day‑to‑day operation of the department.

Experience in a food manufacturing or warehouse environment would be great, but what we really value is your reliability, enthusiasm and the ability to work shifts.

What you need:

• Experience including inwards goods, inventory control, order picking and receiving is an advantage.
• Delivery times adherence/ follow-up.
• Problem solver with a can do attitude.
• Proven ability to work unsupervised.
• Forklift driving experience and license is an advantage.
• Ability to work shift hours and weekends on a 5 day roster.
• Working knowledge of SAP system and intermediate level of Excel and Word required to maintain records.
