LSG Sky Chefs caters the majority of airlines operating to New Zealand. With an increase in business, we are currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced bulk catering production chef with leadership skills in high volume kitchens.
You will be managing the Kitchen, its staff and resources under the direction of the Production Manager to ensure the production of meal components to specification and according to LSG quality requirements and measurements
This position is a crucial leadership role in our business. You will be responsible for:
It's likely that you have 10 or more years' experience in large-scale catering kitchens. You will be able to demonstrate strong skills in western and/or east Asian food styles. You will be a strong, practical senior chef who enjoys leading a team but also enjoys working in a section producing high quality food for our clients.
You will have great communication skills in both written and spoken English. You will also have a qualification in culinary skills that meets or exceeds the requirements of the NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Culinary Skills or City and Guilds 7100 Level 3 Diploma).
We offer a competitive annual salary between $70,000 and $75,000 per annum.
Our Auckland kitchens operate seven days a week and you must be available for rostering on any day. Depending on the season, we operate between 6.00am and 11.00pm.
Shifts are typically 8 hours each day, with overtime when it is required to meet the needs of the business. You will be guaranteed 80 hours per fortnight.
