Job summary

PGG Wrightson in Timaru is seeking a Storeperson/Customer Service Representative to handle inwards goods, bulk storage and delivery duties, while assisting with merchandising and sales support. You will engage with customers and provide service in a busy store environment.

The role offers training, opportunities to develop technical knowledge in rural products, and a focus on teamwork. A hands-on candidate with strong people skills is sought for this in-store position.

Qualifications

• Good physical fitness as heavy lifting is required.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in and passion for the New Zealand agricultural sector.
• Previous retail and/or sales experience is an advantage with a strong 'people focus'.
• Forklift operation with current licence preferred.
• Approved Handlers and/or Dangerous Goods certification an advantage.
• Full, current and clean New Zealand driver licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility of Storeperson operations for the site by organizing and facilitating the storage and movement of inwards/outwards goods and bulk products.
• Order, unpack and display merchandise according to company guidelines.
• Process sales and product requests and provide customer service.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and service.
• Undertake product and customer deliveries onto farm when required.
• Assist the Store Manager with administration, merchandising and sales tasks as required.

Due to ongoing growth in the region an exciting and new opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Storeperson/Customer Service Representative to join our busy team inTimaru.

This is an in-store role where you will be responsible for the handling and processing of inwards goods and the organisation of the bulk storage area. You will also be responsible for seed mixing and complete delivery duties when required. You will also assist with the ordering and correct display of merchandise and provide sales advice and service to a range of customers. This a very exciting and varied role where no two days will be the same.
