Job summary

PGG Wrightson in Kaikohe invites an experienced leader to head a two-person Customer Service team within our Rural Supplies store. You will lead the team, build strong relationships with local farmers and drive day-to-day store operations with sales and service excellence.

Responsibilities include delivering outstanding customer service, managing administration, inventory, budgets, and staff development while upholding safety and company values. A full NZ driver license is required.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a retail or customer-focused environment.
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand's agricultural sector and products.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with customers and colleagues.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced leader to join our Rural Supplies team in Kaikohe.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small team of two Customer Service Representatives, build strong customer relationships, and make a real impact in the local rural community. You'll lead your team to deliver outstanding service and technical advice to agricultural customers while driving the successful day-to-day operation of the store.

Working closely with colleagues across the region, you'll help grow market share, strengthen customer relationships, and ensure the store operates safely, efficiently and profitably in line with company strategy and values.

Alongside sales leadership, you'll oversee administration, compliance, inventory management and team performance. You'll be organised, commercially minded, confident using computer systems, and comfortable working autonomously while collaborating with a wide range of customers and colleagues.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Proven leadership, management and sales skills, preferably within a retail environment.
• Strong knowledge, experience and technical expertise within New Zealand's agricultural sector.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
• A sales-focused and customer driven approach.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• A full, current New Zealand driver licence.
