Job summary

GrainCorp Feeds at Waharoa is seeking a Store Operator on an 8-month fixed term contract to join a small, close-knit team. Core hours are 6am–5pm, Monday to Friday, with extended hours during August to February. This role is based at our Waharoa site.

You will mix and load bulk blends, operate a front end loader and forklift, carry out bagging and pallet stacking, and handle some office tasks. A current forklift licence with F and W endorsement, plus good communication and the ability to lift up

• Warehousing/logistics experience.
• Good communication; able to follow direction, collaborate and work autonomously.
• Capable of lifting up to 20 kg and understanding safety standards.

Store Operator – 8-month Fixed Term

Location: Waharoa

GrainCorp Feeds is a national animal feed business, based in Hamilton NZ, dealing directly with corporate and farming customers across New Zealand. GrainCorp Feeds offers a comprehensive range of high-quality liquid and dry dairy and calf feeds suitable for a variety of feeding systems and developed to improve on-farm production, reproduction, performance and profitability.

Based at our Waharoa site, we are seeking a Store Operator on an 8-month fixed term contract to join our small, but close-knit team. This is a full-time position where your core hours of work will be between 6am - 5pm, Monday to Friday. During August through to February we work extended hours to support our customers. These hours are rostered - flexibility with working hours is a requirement during this period.

• Mixing and loading Bulk Blends
• Front End Loader Operation
• Forklift Operation
• Bagging and pallet stacking
• Some Office and paperwork

The successful candidate will hold a current forklift licence with F and W endorsement and experience working in a warehousing / logistics role. Experience with Front End Loaders preferred but not essential. Good communication skills, ability to follow direction, work collaboratively and autonomously is also required. You should be capable of lifting up to 20kg in weight and have a solid understanding of safety standards.
