Job summary

GrainCorp Feeds in Timaru is seeking a Store Operator to join our small, close-knit team at the Timaru site. This full-time role has core hours 6am–5pm, Monday to Friday, with August–February extended rosters to support customers.

You will mix and load bulk blends, operate a Front End Loader and forklift, assist with bagging and pallet stacking, and handle some office paperwork. A forklift licence with F and W endorsement and warehousing experience are required.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence with F and W endorsement required.
• Experience in warehousing/logistics preferred.
• Capable of lifting up to 25kg and adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Mixing and loading Bulk Blends.
• Operating Front End Loader and forklift.
• Bagging, pallet stacking, and related paperwork.
• Some office tasks and record-keeping.

Job description

Role: Store Operator Location: Timaru

GrainCorp Feeds is a national animal feed business, dealing directly with corporate and farming customers across New Zealand.

GrainCorp Feeds offers a comprehensive range of high-quality liquid and dry dairy and calf feeds suitable for a variety of feeding systems and developed to improve on-farm production, reproduction, performance and profitability.

Based at our Timaru site, we are seeking a Store Operator to join our small, but close-knit team.

This is a full-time position where your core hours of work will be between 6am - 5pm, Monday to Friday. During August through to February we work extended hours to support our customers. These hours are rostered - flexibility with working hours is a requirement during this period.

Responsibilities in this role include:

• Mixing and loading Bulk Blends
• Front End Loader Operation
• Forklift Operation
• Bagging and pallet stacking
• Some Office and paperwork

About your experience

• The successful candidate will hold a current forklift licence with F and W endorsement and experience working in a warehousing / logistics role. Experience with Front End Loaders preferred but not essential.
• Good communication skills, ability to follow direction, work collaboratively and autonomously is also required.
• You should be capable of lifting up to 25kg in weight and have a solid understanding of safety standards.
