Job summary

PGG Wrightson Seeds, part of the DLF Group, is seeking a motivated Storeperson for our Ashburton dispatch area. You’ll operate a forklift, load and unload trucks, prep seed for dispatch, and help keep the store tidy while delivering professional service to transport providers and clients.

• Forklift license required.

PGG Wrightson Seeds is part of the global DLF Group, servicing both New Zealand and international markets. We work across the entire seed journey from research and development through to production, processing, and on-farm support supplying high-quality seed to arable growers, livestock producers, and food and feed manufacturers.

We are one of New Zealand’s leading seed and grain processors and are now seeking a motivated, capable Storeperson to join our Ashburton team in our dispatch area.

As a Storeperson you’ll play a key role in the day to day performance of our dispatch operation with a strong focus on quality, efficiency and continuous improvement.

Duties And Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift and stack pallets
• Loading/Unloading trucks
• Prepping the seed for dispatch
• Providing efficient and professional customer service to transport providers and clients
• Maintaining the general tidiness of the store

Skills And Experience:

• A forklift license is essential
• A good level of verbal and written communication
• Experience in the grain and seed (or similar) industry would be an advantage but is not essential
• A positive approach
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work without supervision or within a team setting
• Be physically fit to be able to cope with the demands of the role
• Previous experience in reach truck operation would be beneficial
