RobLawMax Recruitment is seeking a reliable Stone Mason Assistant to join a skilled team delivering premium stone installations across the Wellington region. You will work alongside experienced stonemasons, helping to install natural and engineered stone and develop trade skills.

This hands-on role requires a strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail. Full-time, immediate start with a supportive team and ongoing learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with stone cutting or stone fabrication.
• Experience with wall or floor tiling.
• Caulking and finishing.
• General construction or trade labouring.
• Experience using hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of natural and engineered stone.
• Prepare materials, tools and work areas.
• Cut, shape and finish stone products.
• Load, unload and transport materials safely.
• Support site set-up and maintain a clean, organised workspace.
• Work closely with experienced tradespeople on projects.

About the role

As a Stone Mason Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced stonemasons, helping to deliver premium stone installations while learning valuable trade skills.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Assisting with the installation of natural and engineered stone.
• Preparing materials, tools and work areas.
• Cutting, shaping and finishing stone products.
• Loading, unloading and transporting materials safely.
• Supporting site set-up and maintaining a clean, organised workspace.
• Working closely with experienced tradespeople on a variety of projects.
