Job summary

Advanced Personnel is seeking an experienced STMS to oversee temporary traffic management operations in Canterbury. You will ensure safe planning, setup, management, and removal of TTM sites, complying with industry standards and protecting workers and the public.

Responsibilities include conducting site briefings, inspections, and leading TM crews, while liaising with clients and site personnel. A current STMS qualification and a valid Class 1 licence are required, with flexibility to work

Qualifications

• Current STMS qualification required or Cat A/B preferred.
• Full Class 1 licence; Class 2 advantageous.
• Experience in traffic management and supervising crews.
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities.
• Reliable with a strong safety focus.

As an STMS, you will be responsible for the safe planning, setup, management, and removal of Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) sites while ensuring compliance with industry standards and maintaining a safe environment for workers and the public.

• Conduct site briefings and toolbox meetings
• Complete site inspections and compliance documentation
• Lead TM crews and ensure work is carried out safely
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and site personnel
• Ensure all health and safety requirements are met

About you

• Current STMS Qualification (Cat A/B preferred)
• Full Class 1 Licence (Class 2 advantageous)
• Previous experience in traffic management
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Reliable with a strong safety focus
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional night shifts and weekends
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
