Job summary

AWF Group in Kerikeri, New Zealand, seeks a Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) to lead on-road safety, install TMP-based signs, and supervise roading crews.

You must hold a current STMS Cat A/B qualification and a Class 1 or 2 driving licence; the role runs Monday to Friday during the dayshift with PPE provided and a strong health-and-safety focus. Reliable transport and NZ work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Current STMS qualification (STMS Cat A/B).
• Class 1 or 2 Driving Licence.
• Experience setting up TMPs and traffic control operations.
• Ability to supervise safety checks and toolbox talks.
• NZ work eligibility and pass pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Site setup: transporting and installing signs, cones, and barriers per TMP.
• Traffic control: lead on-road safety, set up Stop/Go and real-time decisions.
• Crew supervision: briefing crews, toolbox talks, safety checks.
• Enforce health and safety regulations and monitor hazards.
• Team leadership: brief TTMWs, direct stop/go operations, oversee field crews.
• Some labouring from back of TTM truck.

Site Traffic Management Supervisor - STMS

ROLE: STMS - Site Safety Management Supervisor Roading + Class 1 or 2 Driving Licence.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Required a current STMS qualification (STMS Cat A/B).
• Site Setup: Transporting and installing signs, cones, and safety barriers according to an approved Traffic Management Plan (TMP).
• Traffic Control: Leading on-road safety, setting up Stop/Go operations, and making real-time, risk-based decisions to manage live traffic flow.
• Crew Supervision: Briefing on-site crews, conducting toolbox talks, and leading safety checks.
• Safety Management: Enforcing health and safety regulations, ensuring crew compliance, and monitoring hazards
• Team Leadership: Briefing Traffic Controllers (TTMW), directing stop/go operations, and overseeing field crews.
• Some Labouring and TTMW required working from back of TTM truck.
