The Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Unit undertakes more than14,000 diagnostic and interventional procedures annually and providesspecialised gastrointestinal and respiratory services to the Canterburypopulation. The service also acts as a secondary and tertiary referral centrefor the South Island.
The unit operates from a purpose-built facility atChristchurch Hospital, with eight procedure rooms, two recovery areas and tworeprocessing areas, across two floors. It also provides specialist endoscopyequipment to other areas of the hospital campus including Waipapa and ParksideOperating Theatres, Interventional Radiology, and ICU.
In this role you will work 8 hourr shifts, Monday to Fridaybetween the hours of 0730 - 1800hrs with pro rata participation in an on-call roster from0800hrs Saturday to 2000hrs Sunday for acute endoscopy procedures.
